Bank & Credit Cards

Transfering you bank & credit card information
Moving to a new country requires a lot of research and investigation. One of the most important things is where to put all that hard earned money. Depending on where you move, you can find many American banks with branches worldwide or banks with partner banks in other countries. So in some cases you may not have to transfer your money to another bank.
In the event that your bank does not do business in your new country you should ask your manager for recommendations of banks and financial institutions in the destination country. If you are being transferred by your company they might be able to help you find a new bank.
Credit cards are also something to think about. Even thought most credit cards are globally accepted you should consider canceling the ones you have now and getting new ones in your new country. Remember you will have to pay for the difference in currency rate if you keep the old cards. Call your credit card companies and find out if they offer any international cards.
