Tips before you go through customs
Moving is hard enough as it is… don’t let yourself get caught up in the airport customs line when you arrive at your new destination. Keep yourself informed of all the rules and regulations of the customs agencies in your new destination.
Few important things to know:
· If you are returning to the US you should be aware of the rules and regulations of the US Customs to insure a smooth travel.
· Inquire about any documents which might be needed by customs in your destination country such as titles, insurance certificates and bills of sale.
· Keep in mind that there may also be restrictions on the quantity and type of goods you can bring in to the country.
· Try contacting the local embassy of the country you are moving to and they will able to answer any questions on customs and their specific requirements.
